Artworks by 44flavours at Europacity Vibes

Since the start of Europacity Vibes, Europaplatz has become the venue for numerous events, encounters and creative experiences. The diverse range of art, culture, culinary delights and leisure activities has inspired many visitors. The initiative was able to create a space for visual art through its collaboration with 44flavours – literally.

The artist duo, consisting of Sebastian Bagge and Julio Rölle, have been creating extraordinary works of art that combine painting, sculpture and object art since 2003. They often incorporate public spaces and are inspired by the place where they are created. Their unmistakable style combines bold colors, different perspectives and a playful mix of op art, figuration and signs. These elements are also reflected in the artworks they create.

Extended Play–the Art Cube on Europaplatz

With the walk-in art cube “Extended Play”, 44flavours have created a dynamic space that combines art and environment. Inspired by the immediate surroundings and shaped by their intuitive design process, the cube invites visitors to discover art from different perspectives and become part of the artwork themselves. The walk-in artwork has been expanding the Europacity Vibes event space since October 2024.

Akkord–the seating staircase at Humboldthafen

The “Akkord” seating staircase will complement the Europacity Vibes event space at Humboldthafen from 2025. As an interactive work of art, it combines functionality with artistic aspirations and will become a place of encounter, relaxation and cultural debate.

A little Christmas music, a few roasted almonds–the atmosphere on Europaplatz really invites you to enjoy. Beautifully decorated, our small Christmas market offers everything you need: curling and the children’s carousel are free, roasted almonds, fresh waffles and crêpes as well as other specialties are also available. Creative winter workshops, live music with Christmas hits, even our food trucks have come up with a Christmas menu. That sounds pretty good, doesn’t it? 

From Monday to Sunday, the Christmas market is open from 11 am until 10 pm. Come by, get something tasty and warm up with a hot drink. We look forward to seeing you.

Christmas vibes on Loop: In December, the Europacity Vibes Christmas market brings the festive spirit to Europacity. On Tuesday, December 10, musician PlaGu will add to the atmosphere and play various Christmas hits live on stage. PlaGu, short for Plattengustel, doesn’t need a fixed studio because his setup rolls with him through Berlin: 11 objects and a handcart are all he needs to find the best place for his music. With a loop station, guitar, percussion and vocals, he has found it at Europacity Vibes and will be performing from 4 pm. The live concert is free for you, so wrap up your loved ones and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

On St. Nicholas Day, it will be fairytale time on Europaplatz. From 12 noon on December 6, we invite you to immerse yourself in the magical world of the fairytale hut. Children and parents can look forward to several lovingly staged theater performances that are guaranteed to put you in the Christmas spirit. Admission is free of charge. Enjoy the festive atmosphere at our Christmas market, grab a few roasted almonds, crêpes or waffles and warm up with a coffee, tea or other hot drink.

Do you like giving homemade gifts for Christmas? Or maybe you just like to be creative? Europacity Vibes brings light into the darkness: On Tuesday, December 17, you can take part in our winter workshop for free. Fé, Emily and Ian will show you how to create your own fragrance compositions, choose the right oils and design your own candle. From 4 – 6 pm, you can learn how to make candles on Europaplatz–perfect for giving yourself or your loved ones a special gift.

The last November week brings winter magic to Europaplatz. On Tuesday, November 26, the DJs from Ministry of Mixing will be back once again. From 12 to 2 pm, they will not only be playing well-known songs and remixes, but also their own productions and tracks. Come along, get a christmassy snack from the food trucks and enjoy a lunch break with great beats.

The big winter opening is coming up on Friday—we’re giving the Europacity Vibes a festive glow-up to match the season. The Christmas market opens at 12 pm and offers handmade gifts and delicacies as well as the perfect opportunity to get in the mood for the festive season. Whether for Eisstockschießen, drinking mulled wine, winter workshops or simply for the #goodvibes—come by, warm up a little and enjoy the special atmosphere in the heart of Europacity.

Even when it gets a little colder outside and November turns autumnal, we ensure a warm, lively atmosphere on Europaplatz. From Monday to Friday, musicians, bands and DJs from various genres play at Europacity Vibes. From 12 pm and until 2 pm we offer you a musical and culinary alternative to the usual canteen lunch break. These are the acts of the week:

Monday to Wednesday (18.11. – 20.11.)

Ministry of Mixing—This week the lunch break starts with changing DJs from Ministry of Mixing. As producers, DJs and coaches, Christian Tallah and Danny Subsonic have years of experience in the electronic music scene and know exactly how to get the Europaplatz going. From house to dance, everything is included.

Thursday and Friday (21.11. – 22.11.)

PlaGu—The multi-instrumentalist from Berlin turns Europaplatz into an open-air studio. Equipped with a loop station, guitar, percussion and a handcart to carry his mobile setup, PlaGu will create the perfect good vibes moments for your lunch break on Thursday and Friday. His motto: Music is where you are.

All performances are free for you and make your lunch break in Europacity special. Come along and enjoy a relaxed time in the best atmosphere.

Good vibes on Loop: We defy the colder season and make November warm and cozy. How? With music for the heart! Singer-songwriters, DJs and bands of all genres perform every day from Monday to Friday. Between 12 pm to 2 pm, they sweeten your lunch break and offer a great alternative to the noise of the canteen. This is this week’s program:

Monday (11.11.) & Wednesday (13.11.)

PlaGu doesn’t need a studio because he takes his setup everywhere he goes. 11 objects and a handcart are everything PlaGu needs to create his music. With a loop station, guitar, percussion and vocals, he will be coming to Europaplatz on Monday and Wednesday (November 13.) to provide #goodvibesonly. 

Tuesday (12.11)

Ministry of Mixing—The DJ collective has often visited Europacity Vibes and thrilled the public with their house and dance music. With years of experience as DJs, producers and coaches under their belt, Christian Tallah and Danny Subsonic create tracks that hit the heart and feet.

Thursday (14.11)

Musician and storyteller Martin John Milner comes from Liverpool and mixes rock, funk and reggae with poetic lyrics. He will be performing on Thursday from 12 pm to 1 pm. Next in line will be Nikolas Wilson from Belgium. Now based in Berlin, he combines blues, indie and folk to create his very own blend of music that he describes as an “expression of his heart”.

Friday (15.11.)

ClaeptoPanic brings you pop with her very own twist. Her music is the celebration of the unconventional and quirky. She performs from 12 to 1 pm, followed by Ultradiolett. With her rock and jazzy sounds, the Berlin musician aims to remind us: “You are not alone.”

All concerts and performances are free, come along and enjoy a great lunch break in an inspiring atmosphere.

Time to groove on! Arenor Anuku and Alfred Mehnert have been making music together for over five years. The duo, better known as “Anuku & Bürgermeister”, turns Europacity Vibes into a stage for Afro grooves, house beats and hip-hop. It starts at 6 pm, come along and enjoy a free concert.
